Wildfire Protection Plan

wildfire squareThe city of Berkeley wants citizen input on an action plan to reduce wildfire hazards and risks. Berkeley wants to develop a Community Wildfire Protection Plan in order to set goals and projects for improving wildfire response, community preparedness, fuel management, infrastructure, and more. The Draft Community Wildfire Protection Plan will be presented at the January 25th meeting of the Disaster and Fire Safety Commission. Here are the ways you can learn about and/or get involved with drafting this plan:

  • Attend the Disaster and Fire Safety Commission on Wednesday, December 7th (7:00pm – 9:00pm) Join Here: The meeting will cover the details of the Community Wildfire Protection plan, including the process and timeline. It will recap information from previous meetings and inform participants of how to share their thoughts and ideas about the plan.
  • Complete a survey about the action plan (by December 31st)
