In the face of climate change, healthy soils can remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it in the soil and plants. It can change agriculture and land management from a major cause of climate change to a solution within reach!
Whether you live in an urban or rural area in California, we can all participate in regenerating land by capturing carbon through plants and soil health.

About Elizabeth Guimarin: Elizabeth consults, advises, and educates on soil health for carbon sequestration and water abundance to reduce the risks from climate change. She has an education and background in environmental chemistry with a Master of Science degree in Soil Science.
You can learn more about Elizabeth Guimarin and carbon sequestration in soils at her website: www.soilcarbonwatch.org.

Our new meeting place this season is Belmont Village at 1100 San Pablo Ave. Albany. There is a parking garage available to us for free. Just tell the front desk you are there for the LWV meeting. We will still have tea and cookies first. Everyone is welcome. Bring friends and let us know if you need a ride.
