Monday, January 18, 2021 at 9:00 to 10:00 am there will be a virtual Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme is Black Lives Matter.
2020 has been a year of major upheaval and change. It has asked us to question some of our basic assumptions about ourselves, our communities, and the future. COVID-19, the ever-urgent call for racial justice, economic instability, political insecurity, climate change, fires along the West Coast, the list goes on and on. In such moments, the importance of community and connection is made ever more present.
The annual Berkeley MLK Breakfast is a way for the community to come together in a joyful, moving, and meaningful way. You are welcome again this January, and in the spirit of community, please feel free to invite your family, friends, and neighbors.
This year, you will have the option to make a donation or register for a free ticket. All donations will be used to make small gifts to community organizations working to fight against food insecurity exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
