Applications are currently being accepted to fill one vacancy on the AC Transit’s Parcel Tax Fiscal Oversight Committee. This is a non-paid, volunteer position with a term of office of three years and is subject to reappointment by the Board. Given the short timeline for applying for this, I think all of our Leagues should publicize the opportunity for someone who is interested to apply, with the understanding that they would not be a “League representative” on the watch-dog committee.
It would be interesting to read about the Watch-dog committee to see whether we received the notice of the vacancy because there is a spot on the committee for a good-government representative.
