2017 SPECIAL ELECTION BERKELEY

DISTRICT 4 RESULTS March 7th

Kate Harrison has won the Berkeley District 4 seat with 62% of the vote (1607) against Ben Gould, who won 38% of the vote (992). She was sworn in on Wed, March 15.

This was a special District 4 election for the Berkeley City Council for the position vacated by Jesse Arreguin who was elected Mayor November 2016. It was a vote by mail election with a March 7th deadline.

During the forum, voters in District 4 had a chance to question the candidates in plenty of time to decide before their write-in ballots arrived starting on February 6, 2017. Completed ballots were mailed or delivered to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters, or dropped off at the 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Box, 2180 Milvia St. District 4 below.
