Monday April 20, the Berkeley Climate Action Coalition and the David Brower Center present a panel discussion on Community Choice Energy. Alameda County is currently in the process of conducting a feasibility study — the first step towards creating a viable program.

WHAT IS COMMUNITY CHOICE ENERGY?
Community Choice Energy allows cities and counties to pool the electric load of their residents and businesses and purchase electricity on their behalf. Ultimately, this gives communities the power to decide where their energy comes from and to purchase clean energy from renewable sources, ideally produced locally.
