Environmental Concerns: Warsaw Climate Summit

Warsaw Climate SummitJoin us Monday, February 10 at 7:30 to hear Tom Athanasiou give a first-hand account of the Warsaw Climate Summit at our monthly Environmental Concerns meeting.

Delegates from 194 countries gathered in Warsaw, Poland in late November, 2013 for the 19th round of talks to attempt to hammer out an international treaty to address the threat of climate change.

Mr. Athanasiou is a writer, critic, speaker and organizer.  He is the author of Divided Planet: the Ecology of Rich and Poor, Dead Heat: Global Justice and Global Warming, and (co-author) Greenhouse Development Rights: The Right to Development in a Climate Constrained World

When:  Monday, February 10, 7:30-9:00p

Where:  1174 Euclid Avenue (at Chrystal Way, just north of Eunice) in north Berkeley (house is set back from the street. Go through the gate on the path from the street), the home of Jeanette Zerneke and Mark Nyman
