Voting is both a privilege and an obligation of
citizenship. The 2006 mock general election was held statewide on
Tuesday, October 24, 2006. It afforded students the opportunity to "test drive" the voting
experience. While the election is over, the following links remain "live".
Click on them in order (1-4) to see what to expect from the next mock election
in early 2008. No information will be recorded, but you'll be able to experience
the process for registering and voting.
Albany High students may participate
in the following ways:
- Register online
before Friday, October 13, 2006.
- Follow links from
the Mock Election Resource page to investigate ballot contests.
- Vote online
(if registered)
between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24.
- Check back here after October 24 and November 7 to
see how Albany High's vote compares to the statewide Mock vote and the
General Election results.
