On Sunday, October 30, 2011,

the LWVBAE turned 100!!!


As part of our continuing celebration, join us on April 18 at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center Street, for an afternoon of panel discussions, a film and an informal closing reception from
12:15 to 6 pm in the atrium and auditorium.

This event will be free, open to all and wheelchair accessible. Ask questions and meet the past and present elected women for informal conversations at the closing reception. The schedule includes: a new film by Martha Wheelock, "California Women Win the Vote," a welcome by Berkeley City College President Betty Inclan; "Occupy the Voting Booth," a panel discussion from 1:45-3:30 pm on how to increase registration and voting among young people and under-represented groups. Speakers will include the presidents of the California League of Women Voters Jennifer Waggoner, and of the American Association of University Women, Gloria Taylor, and the Alameda County Deputy Registrar of Voters Cynthia Cornejo, as well as several students from the BCC Civic Engagement Club.
