In 1969, Mrs. Gellhorn was interviewed on television. Six
minutes of that interview, in which she speaks about the 1919-20 suffrage
campaign, will play as soon as its 6 megabyte file downloads to your computer.
It was converted to MP3 from an audio cassette recording passed down to
Karen Nelson, one of our members, from her mother, Genevieve Nelson. Please be
patient while the file loads (which might take a few minutes if you are
connected via a dial-up modem).
If the sound file does not begin playing automatically,
click
http://lwvbae.org/Gellhorn2.mp3 to begin playback. (A new browser window
or tab may open for your computer's audio playback software. If it does, please
close it after the audio file finishes to return to this window.)
